PADI Rescue Diver Course
The PADI Rescue Diver course is one of the most challenging yet rewarding scuba diving courses you can take! During the course you will learn more about preventing problems and how to manage them if they occur. Learn techniques for self rescue, rescuing panicked and unresponsive divers.
Is there a minimum age?
Yes, you can take part in the PADI Rescue diver course from 12 years old
12-14 year olds will receive a Junior Rescue diver certification
Are there any prerequisites?
Yes, you need to be a a PADI ADventure Diver (including the underwater navigation adventure dive) and hold a certificate for first aid and CPR training within the last 24 months. If you haven't got this you can take the Emergency First Response course with us
What does the course involve?
Over the 3 days you will complete 10 rescue exercises, 5 knowledge development sections and 2 final scenarios where all the information you have learnt during the course comes together!
During the sessions some of the things you will learn about include:
- Responding to panicked and tired divers
- Missing diver procedures
- Surfacing the unconscious diver
- In-water rescue breathing techniques
- Exiting the unresponsive diver
How long does the course take?
The PADI Rescue diver can be completed in as quick as 3 days, only 2 if you choose to do your theory by E-learning!
Can I complete the theory before I arrive in Lanzarote?
Yes! You can complete all the theory online by PADI E-learning. That way when you arrive in Lanzarote you can jump straight into the water!
What does the course price include?
The course price includes equipment hire, manual and your PADI certification card!
