The PADI Rescue Diver course will increase your ability to spot problems quickly, also teach you how to act in stressful situations. So that if an emergency happened you would know what to do.

Learn how to prevent & deal with different situations including self-rescue techniques. Helping you to deal with typical diving problems better, increasing your self confidence in your diving ability & making you a better buddy. The Rescue Diver training takes part in Playa Chica. Starting with reminding you how to keep yourself safe while diving. During the course you will learn several techniques. Such as dealing with tired or panicked divers at the surface & underwater. Recognising & managing stress in other divers. Emergency management & equipment. Rescuing unresponsive divers. Search patterns for missing divers. Once you are comfortable performing the different exercises your PADI instructor will take you through 2 rescue scenarios. Throughout the scenarios you will use the skills you learnt to find your “missing” buddy!

Prerequisites: PADI Adventure Diver. Also CPR and first aid training from within the past 24 months.

Can I complete the theory before I get to Lanzarote?
  All our packages include online theory so you can get started before you arrive in Lanzarote. You just need a tablet or computer. The Bronze package includes the PADI digital manual. So you can start reading before you arrive. However your first day will be watching the video and completing quizzes in the classroom. The Silver and Gold packages include the PADI Rescue Diver Touch. This allows you to complete all the theory before you arrive. Saving you a day in the classroom. Completing this option means when you arrive in Lanzarote you can jump straight into Rescue Training. You can then complete the water work for the PADI Rescue Diver course in only 2 days!

How long does the PADI Rescue Diver course take?
The PADI Rescue Diver can be completed in as quick as 2 days. If you choose the Silver or Gold you can complete the Rescue Diver touch beforehand. Alternatively you can choose the bronze package and choose to complete the theory with us in Lanzarote. In which case it can be completed in 3 days.
What's involved with the PADI Rescue Diver course?
During the PADI Rescue Diver course you will complete 10 training exercises and 2 final scenarios. The majority of the course is on the surface. Learning how to help divers with different problems. Some of the training exercises involve shallow dives to a maximum depth of 10 metres. During these dives you will practice searching for missing divers and how to bring unconscious divers to the surface.
I have first aid and CPR training. Do I need to bring a certificate?
Yes, if you have the prerequisite of first aid and CPR training from within the past 24 months please email us a copy of your certificate. We will send it over to PADI and they can verify it meets the prerequisite for the Rescue course.
