PADI Rescue Diver Course

PADI Rescue Diver Course

Most challenging yet most rewarding scuba diving course!

The PADI Rescue Diver course expands on what you already know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they happen.

The PADI Rescue Diver course will enhance your ability to recognize problems in good time and to act properly during stressful situations so that a small emergency does not become a serious danger. The main focus is on preventing and dealing with dangerous situations as well as self-rescue techniques. All this helps you to better deal with typical diving problems, increases your self confidence in your diving skills and makes you a better and more careful dive buddy.

The Rescue Diver training takes part in Playa Chica. Starting with reminding you how to keep yourself safe while diving. During the course you will learn many techniques for dealing with tired or distressed divers at the surface and underwater, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, rescuing panicked divers, rescuing unresponsive divers and search patterns for missing divers.

Once you are comfortable performing the different exercises your PADI instructor will take you through 2 mock rescue scenarios. During these scenarios you will draw on many of the skills you have previously mastered to deal with this scenario.
