TYPES OF COOKIES:

Depending on the entity that manages the domain from which the cookies are sent and processes the data obtained, two types can be distinguished: first-party cookies and third-party cookies.

There is also a second classification according to the period of time they remain stored in the client’s browser, which can be session cookies or persistent cookies.

Lastly, there is another classification with five types of cookies according to the purpose for which the obtained data is processed: technical cookies, personalisation cookies, analysis cookies, advertising cookies, and behavioural advertising cookies.

EXEMPT Cookies

The guide mentions some cookies that can be used without the need to obtain consent. These are the following: – User “input” cookies: for example, those that store the “shopping cart” in an online store.

They relate that device to that shopping cart, but not to any user. Or the cookie that remembers that the user has given consent to the use of certain cookies.

  • Authentication or user identification cookies (only if they are session cookies).
  • User security cookies, for example, those intended to detect and limit repeated attempts to access a password-protected service.
  • Multimedia player session cookies (allow knowing if the user has pressed pause, how much playback time has elapsed)
  • Load balancing session cookies. This is a technical and session cookie, so that a website that has a load balancer and multiple servers knows that that session should be redirected to one of its servers.
  • User interface customization cookies: For example, it allows remembering whether the user prefers Spanish or English language.
  • Certain social content sharing plugin cookies. These are the ones that allow integrating social network resources into a web page to identify members who have the session open in the social network, and facilitate them to post comments or share content with their friends. NOTE: The AEPD’s criteria regarding these cookies is defined in this report. In summary: for these “plugin” cookies to be considered exempt, they must be EXCLUSIVELY session cookies. If they are persistent cookies, they will require the user’s express consent.

Cancellation and Refund Policies

If you cancel your dive/experience/dive package, for whatever reason, the cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 7 days or more to dive/package date – full refund of payment less credit card transaction fee
  • 7 days – 24 hours before the dive/package date you will be given a 50% refund.
  • Failure to cancel your diving activities or to show up will result in a retainment of the payment.

If you need to reschedule, but not cancel your dive/package we will do everything we can to accommodate you on a different date without extra charges.

Weather Conditions

At Manta Diving Lanzarote we put safety above everything. On the rare occasion that the sea conditions are deemed to rough by the dive team we will cancel the dives and certification courses. We will do our best to rearrange your diving for another day of your holiday. If that isn’t possible we will refund your cancelled dives in full.

Weather conditions that may cause cancellations include: waves over 1.5 metres, severe weathering warning forecast, red flags issued by the lifeguards.

Certification Courses

E-learning/Online Training: when you book your course you are paying for your online theory. Once you have redeemed your theory, you are no longer eligible for a refund of the money paid. Your theory with SSI has no expiration date, so if you cannot complete the course you can still use it at a later date with any SSI dive centre.

If the weather condition does not allow us to have calm shallow water, we may use a pool designed for diving training for your Confined Water training sessions. If the sea conditions are not good enough for Open Water training, your training dives will be rescheduled.
