Boat Diving in Lanzarote – Puerto del Carmen
If you’re looking to experience the very best of scuba diving in Lanzarote, boat diving from Puerto del Carmen is where it really comes alive. While shore diving at Playa Chica is fantastic, jumping on a boat opens up a whole new range of dive sites — many just a short ride away — with dramatic underwater landscapes, thriving marine life, and fewer crowds.
At Manta Diving Lanzarote, we run boat dives Monday to Saturday at 08:30 and 10:45, giving you easy access to some of the island’s most iconic dive sites. And unlike many centres, you won’t be squeezing onto a small RIB — you’ll be diving from our custom trimaran hard boat, Viviendo El Sueño! That means more space, more comfort, and a far more relaxed experience before and after your dives!
Explore Lanzarote’s Best Boat Dive Sites
Boat diving allows us to reach a variety of sites suited to different experience levels, each offering something unique:
Waikiki
A beautiful, relaxed dive perfect for spotting marine life. Expect to see a stunning orange coral tucked into the volcanic rock, groupers hiding in the overhangs and the occasional stingray gliding across the sandy patches. It’s a great site for photographers thanks to its calm conditions and vibrant scenery.
Harbour Wrecks
One of the highlights of diving in Lanzarote. This collection of wrecks sits between 18–40 metres and attracts larger marine life. Barracuda, tuna, and white trevallies are common here, along with octopus hiding in the structure. It’s an exciting dive with a real sense of exploration.
Punta Tiñosa
Known for its rocky formations and excellent visibility, this site is full of life. You’ll often find groupers, cuttlefish, and schools of sardines moving through the blue. Keep an eye on the sand for rays and, during the right season, even angel sharks resting on the seabed.
La Pared
A stunning wall dive where the reef drops away into the deep. This site is all about the dramatic scenery — with volcanic rock formations covered in marine growth. It’s also a great place to spot larger fish like groupers cruising along the wall.
Los Arcos
Famous for its natural arches and swim-throughs, Los Arcos is a favourite among divers. The light filtering through the arches creates incredible underwater views, and the cracks and crevices are home to moray eels, nudibranchs, and plenty of smaller marine life.
Ritchie’s Reef
A vibrant reef system teeming with life. Expect colourful sponges, schools of fish, and the chance to spot octopus and cuttlefish if you’re lucky. It’s a fantastic all-round dive site that suits a wide range of divers.
