SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Course
Learn to prevent and manage problems in the water and become more confident in your skills as a diver. It’s challenging, yet very rewarding!
1. Theory
Dive in! MySSI is the best scuba diving app to learn to scuba dive. Before you arrive in Lanzarote, complete 6 chapters online and learn all the basic principles of scuba diving. How to use the equipment, safety rules and what to do in an emergency, gaining all the necessary knowledge to become a safe diver.Â
3 training dives
During your 6 confined water dives your instructor will guide you through the basics of setting up equipment, breathing underwater and resolving problems. You will complete these dives in Playa Chica bay surrounded by the fish, your adventure begins!
Over the course of 2 days you will complete 3 training dives in confined and open water, which will give you the ability to deal with distressed, tired, panicking, unconscious and missing divers.
3 Scenarios
Once you are confident with your new rescue skills we will put it all together and perform 3 scenarios. Organising a search to find a “missing” diver and rescuing them!Â
This course will really improve your confidence and make you a more competent diver. It is also a prerequisite for Dive Leader and Master Scuba Diver. This certification is valid worldwide and for life.Â
