Baby Angel Shark spotted on Night Dive!

Danny and Michael are in their final week of their PADI Divemaster course and they are doing amazing! With just a few dives left to tick off their list. Danny mentioned to Rachel that he really wanted to see an angel shark before he finished his Divemaster course. During August the best chance of seeing an angel shark is on a night dive! So that evening along with Haiyu and Steve who had just finished his Advanced Course, they all went for a night dive along the Harbour Wall off Playa Chica.

The beauty of night dives is you  don’t have to go deep to find lots of things!

If you stay shallow (around 10 metres) you will find the best marine life! Around 15 minutes in we were just passing shark’s fin and there waiting on the sand was a baby angel shark! We slowly approached and stopped at a distance and just hovered watching it.

During the dive we also found baby cuttlefish, stone crabs, stargazers, arrowhead crabs!

It was great to have Haiyu and Steve with us! Steve has just passed his PADI Advanced course and his PADI Enriched Air Speciality (Nitrox) with us last week and is having a great time diving Lanzarote’s dive sites with us! Yesterday they jumped on the boat and got to experience El Pared and the Harbour Wrecks.

If you want to night dive while you are in Lanzarote, pre-booking is essential. We night dive once a week and we will set the day each week depending on who is booked in diving with us!

From all the dive team at Manta Diving Lanzarote we wish good luck to Danny and Michael who are sitting their exam for their Divemaster course today!
