Shane upgrades with PADI Rescue Diver Course!
Shane has been visiting us to experience the diving in Lanzarote for a number of years. This year he choose to upgrade his diving skills with the PADI Rescue and Deep diver courses!
Shane choose 2 PADI courses for his trip to Lanzarote this year. The most rewarding course, PADI Rescue Diver and one of the most fun diving courses, PADI deep diver speciality!
Spending 4 days with his PADI instructor Paige completing the Rescue and Deep diver course. Shane studied the theory via e-learning before arriving in Lanzarote which meant that he could spend the whole time diving and learning in the water.
During the Rescue course Shane learnt how to deal with tired divers, panicked divers. As well as unconscious divers. Also how to find missing divers and simulating searches. Paige put a big focus on giving in water rescue breathing which he quickly picked up. Overall Shane did a fantastic job! We are really proud well done!
If you are thinking of taking your PADI Rescue Diver course but aren’t too sure yet? Here’s a few reasons why you should!
- Become a better diver – spend more time diving, learning new skills. The skills you learn in the PADI Rescue diver course are not just for yourself, but to help other divers too. You will enhance your skills in self-rescue that you learnt during your PADI open water course.
- Help others – Learn how to recognise the signs of distress and help other divers, maybe even your buddy, before an accident happens. You will also learn what to do if something does happen, such as how to give a diver in water rescue breaths. These skills may even save a life!
- Enhance your search & recovery skills. Dropped something on a dive, over the side of the boat? You will learn several search patterns, from searching for something small to a missing diver. Not only that, several of the searches include compass use so you can increase your navigation skills at the same time!
